Ok,got "good" on my first inspection over 4(!) years ago.
However (don't have a go at me!L),I've fallen waaaay behind when it comes the EYFS,planning etc,and now I am panicking!
Since my last inspection many things have happened,my mum died,I split with my partner of 13 years and became a single parent,I had a cancer scare, and battled with endometriosis (yup, sometimes it doesn't rain,it pours!),and I also started a degree with the OU.I kept working ,and the parents of my mindees (who are like family) are totally against the EYFS,so,although I know it is a MUST to keep on top of all the planning etc,I didn't always do that,as frankly,I had so much going on in my life.
After my mindees gone home,I'd get my child her dinner, put her to bed, then study!
But of course, the EYFS badly needs doing,I very much doubt the inspector would care much about why I fell behind on this,so I'd be greatful for any tips and hints on how you all do your planning (my mindees are 2 and 3 years old),and anything else you think I might find useful. My local childcare network is not very great or supportive of us local childminders, and if there's any training to be had etc, they usually text us the night before,or on the same day!(yes, seriously)

Many thanks:) xx

I think the information coming out of inspections is that you need to show children's progression.

So you observe, assess and plan for the individual child... and through that you show that the child is doing well, learning a lot in your care... and that you are following the child's interests and meeting the child's needs.

Is there anything specific you are not sure about?

Hth :D
