Hi, are there any no no's to becoming a childminder? Might sound silly but I am totally new to this! By no no's I mean like size of your house etc? I live in an apartment and altho' quite big I don't have a garden. Would this make a difference?

I live in a flat and it didn't disadvantage me in any way from becoming a childminder. Althought you are expected to show/ tell your inspector how/ where you are going to provide outdoor play oppotunities for children.
