Hiya all,
Im a serial lurker on this forum so decided it was about time I outted myself and thanked you all for all your guidence & advice!
I've got Ofted coming for my first inspection either Weds, Thurs or Fri of next week....Im soooo nervous! Ive worked in a nursery for over 8 years so you'd think I would kind of be used to it but they scare the living day lights out of me :( Plus this time Im on my own and wont have any back up.
Im in the South-West area so just wondered if anyone has any experience of inspectors in this area? My inspector in a man...I dont know anyone who's had a male inspector! I seem to be working day & night to make sure I have everything up together but my list of 'things to do' keeps getting longer & longer, eeeek!!
Many thanks again!

i know how you feel, i had my inspection yesterday and i was having palpitations all week :o but its not as scary as it seems, if its your pre-reg then the only thing mine was really interested in was health and safety and any paperwork i had ready. you'll be great. good luck.

Good luck, I'm sure it will be OK. If you go on the Ofsted website you might be able to trawl through the inspection reports local to you and see what he picks up on.
Have you had a word with your developmental officer, he or she might be able to tell you or check for you

Ive asked around my local childminders & none of them have ever had a male inspector!! Not sure if this is a good thing or not

i had a male inspector, he was ok very down to earth and just got on with it, didn't ask much although i did give him everything i had to trawl through whist i played  im in Cheshire so doubt it will be the same one but good luck anyway and don't panic. i too worked in Nurseries before and this does help with nerves abit but yes it is a shame not to have a team around you, thankfully it's not as long as nursery
