Sorry to be thick, but just checking....:o

Do numbers apply to the children who are actually physically in your care at the time, and not to what is in your contracts?

Asking because a neighbour who is a supply teacher has asked me about having her dd occasionally just for about an hour in the morning so she can go to work and I will drop the lo to preschool for 9.30 after the school run. All but one of my lo's go to nursery in the morning, and although they are 'on my books' for that time I only actually pick them up at lunchtime, so providing they were going to nursery as planned do you think this would be ok?
(obviously if they wanted their full space I would give them preference over the teacher)

yes is the anser to that!

you can have 60 mindees on your books but only whay is stated on your certificate at any one time. so if you normally have 6 and X is off you can replay X with Z for that session

Yes, the only thing is-do the parents of the LO's who go to nursery pay for the time inbetween? if so then you'd need to check because you can only take payment for 3 spaces (or whatever you are registered for)and so you'd need to ask parents if it was ok and refund someone for the time!!! :)

Thanks for the replies, it's nice to get things clear instead of being jumbled up in my mad brain, lol!

Ali, thanks for mentioning that, hadn't thought about it.
One pays me a day rate as he is here from 8.30 -5 with nursery 9-12, but I actually discount her £5 a day while he's at nursery so technically I suppose I could earn back that £5. The other one was on 'school hours' but now spends the morning in nursery but she still pays me as I keep her space for holidays, non school days and any other eventuality.
Tbh as she is a good neighbour and I don't think it's not going to be very often I will probably do it as a 'favour', it doesn't seem worth the hassle of all the paperwork to get a couple of hours pay a month.

Thanks again! :)

You can take payment for how ever many you want!! if someone wants to pay you while their child is at nursery, that's no one else's business.
I know plenty of people who charge parents all year round and take on extra children if the parents are on holiday.
Why wouldn't you be able to?!!
