So I rang Ofsted today as my daughter starts full time school in September.
No longer will they adjust the ratios and send out a dated certificate prior to her starting f/t school. OH NO now we have to ring up once they have started full time school to get the changes made and not before. I would not be allowed to mind in her spot until the changes appear on the website. Apparantly something may stop her attending full time school ~ I asked what thazt would be and the bloke basically said he wouldn't want to say. How to aggravate me on a Wednesday afternoon.

strange that:huh: , June and I both have lo's starting school in September. We emailed them a couple of weeks ago, asking for a Rising 5's condition to be applied to our certificates to allow us to replace the children starting school and both received revised certificates within a week!!!
Try emailing them and see if that works

It really does depend who you talk to and when you talk to them.
Today you could ring up and ask what colour the sky is and they would say blue
20 minutes later you could ring and ask the same question and they will say pink.
Email them and get it all in writing.

I rang today and was told they could sort the rising 5's out on my cert but because my DD turns 8 on the 18th of july they suggested I wait and ring then and save having to have it changed again.Lovely man i spoke to :)

Does it make a difference because it is your daughter and not a minded child? I've just got my first certificate, it already has a clause about if I mind 4 and 5 year old's in full time education I can increase the number in EYFS accordingly. As far as my own son starting school - so therefore freeing up another EYFS space I have to wait until he has started!
Seems like they make up the rules on a daily basis!!!

Yes its because its my own daughter. Apparantly she may not make it to full time school which is why they cannot do anything before hand.
Trust me she will be in school FULL TIME for my own sanity.

When I had my inspection a couple of weeks ago my inspector told me she would be putting the rising 5 condition on my new cetificate to cover both my mindee and my own son starting full time school September. So it really does depend on who you speak to I think.
