That's pretty quick if you ask me!

I support new minders, some are registered within that time, but others have taken 9 months or more

Hi
It took three months to the day from my registration visit to having my certificate in my hand. Before that I'd already started the 6 week training course!

12 weeks is realy quick.
My registration took 9 months. Two of my CM friends both took over 12months to become registered.

I started the process in the January and was not registered until the September! So 12 weeks is really quick x

Even many, many moons ago, long before Ofsted, when things were nowhere near as complicated it took me longer than 12 weeks!

Briefing session July 09, course Sept 09.Only then was i allowed to submit my reg forms.Northumberlands policy.
Took til April 2010 for everything to be sorted. That's with my forms being in in November 2009.You will find it's usually your crb check that takes its time. That itself can take 12 weeks.Sorry theres no better news but it really isn't quick :(

I was also told it would take 12 weeks so thought I had plenty of time to organise myself. However, it only took 3 weeks from the pre-reg visit to getting my Certificate and was totally unprepared!

According to the other posts here, it appears that I was very lucky but it goes to show it can be completed in less than 12 weeks. I guess it just depends on how long the CRB takes.

I had my ofsted inspection in March, had my CRB back, waiting for my partners still! - the only thing holding my reg up - my 12 weeks from sending the the application 3rd March! have definately passed!

Hope yours is quicker than mine!x
