I have been so offended today by a so called teacher! Picked LO up from preschool, they have issue with behaviour , LO is total opposite for me and she had cheek to say 'do you challenge him?!' HOW DARE SHE!

I am fuming! I dont know if people think i am in the wrong but i am NVQ4, previously outstanding childminder, in child care for 10years. Couldnt believe it, now she has me questionning myself and my practice, she has really made my blood boil.

Have i over reacted? Has anyone else had this? Opinions please!

Sorry for the negativity guys - just couldnt beleive what i was hearing

I would suggest to the teacher that you recommend she take a course in Behaviour Management.

Or say " if you cant connect with the children then i assume that you are in the wrong job"

She has the problem, you are doing it RIGHT, she is just trying to blame her short comings onto you. But hay ho we can all try and pass the buck. :censored:

I had one teacher who said to me (in front of my son, age 10) he'll never amount to anything, he'll probably end up a juvenile delinquent!

He's now 30, a father of 2 fabulous sons, his own house, beautiful wife and an engineer!!!

They aren't ALWAYS right....

take no notice. when you see her next, pop over and with your most calm smile say sorry I was a bit confused when you spoke to me last week - rather I was surprised because his behaviur with me is never a problem.

On a more practical note, perhaps it's something in the group environment that cuases this. i had a mindee once from start of y1 to y2 had a few normal behaviour problems but he was a little minx at school. He had lots of home problems going on though and for whatever reason his reactions seem to come to the fore at school rather than at mine:(
