hi i was just wondering if i employed my brother who is 16 as an assistant could i increase my numbers or does the ssistant have to be 18?

I believe it's 17... that's what they said when I asked about my dd.
Doubtful they will let you increase your numbers though for a 17 year old.
Also be aware if you go over 6 you will need planning permission to be legal.
I'd ring Ofsted and see what they say if you want to pursue it :D

My son registered as an assistant at 16, but we were unable to raise our numbers.

Wonder why they said no to dd then?
I rang and asked and they said it was 17 in the Eyfs :rolleyes:
