got parents to leave some (very) old clothes here as extras ....
spread out large sheets of (wall) paper in the garden
paint on paperplates
rollers, brushes, cars

add 2 x 2yr olds and a 37yr old minder and the result - a riot of colour on the grass, paper, me and the children and even the dog joined in (note to self - wash multi coloured - was white- dog later).

2.5 hrs of glorious squelching in paint with hands, feet, knees (noses!!!!:eek: ) elbows.

My neighbour was in hysterics.

to end - carry children through to bathroom - hose of best as possible, dry and change

wish I could post photos but the kids are still 'recognisable' through the paint!

bliss (another note to self - looks like i have bad grazes down one arm where i forgot to wash paint off)

I havent done any painting in ages with mindee's. Will save it for summer now though. lol

It was most definately an adult..... I mean child led activity - absolutely. The children guided me in everything i did:laughing: :laughing:

Must say my lawn looks lovely multi-coloured - although I learnt something today - paint does not wash out of grass:D

We did this the other day - such fun! Been doing outdoor environments for my degree so thought we would give it a try.

if you put a dollup of washing up liquid in the paint its easier to wash off the garden (and the kids for that matter!)
