It says on it that to protect childminder identity you can only search by URN, so it doesnt seem to give the option to input a name or postcode and receive a response.

When i input the postcode, without going through the bit that says select the type of provider, it only brings up schools type results no individual childminders, think this is because they do not hold our name or postcode on our childminder reports, so we do not show up on the searches to keep our identity private.

Yes I've seen it - you used to be able to search inspection reports by area but that option seems to have gone now.

Sorry but I don't follow you. You can still search using a postcode. If you go to http://www.ofsted.gov.uk/Ofsted-home/Inspection-reports/Early-years-and-childcare and click on "Find Providers Near Your Home" you can input a postcode.

Oh for goodness sake  why oh why. Well thats my chances of filling my vacancies via Ofsted site gone out of the window. Apparently there are no childminders in my village & no childminders under my postcode!!!

Well i can not find any childminders so i'm guessing that we havent been put on the system yet??? just so long as it does not turn into the Fiasco  that the ************* was for months on end. Do you think they're ganging up on us?

Couldn't find any childminders in my area at first, but went further down the first page where you can put details in and it came up fine Staffordshire
