All of the posts on here always talk about "Mrs O" but are there any male Ofsted inspectors that anyone has ever come across? It seems to be a very imbalanced job with some kind of "female only" requirement as I have personally never seen an Ofsted report on a Childminder's setting that has been done by a man.

Yes they do have male inspectors

My first Ofsted inspector was a man and I think he's still working. :D

we have one - he was with the inspectors before Ofsted took over and still going. Always been a bit of a pain but wouldn't mind him now as my last inspector (female) was a complete dragon and he was a pussy cat in comparison.

There are male inspectors, but we haven't got any in this area.

Ive had the same man twice and he is fab i asked him if he will come back next time :D :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:

we have a male inspector in this area. there's actualy a couple that cover this area.

dont know of any in my area but I do know they exist in other areas :thumbsup:

I had a male inspector for my pre-reg - he was sooooo lovely, very friendly and approachable, he did everything he could to put me at ease!
