i am waiting for the call and just want to be prepared so i was wondering if there were any tips out there? was there anything that you didnt have ready and then mrs oftsed picked up on it?

ive got written, photo and floor plan obs. over 50 policies (told you i had a little addiction going on there didnt i? lol) and a few procedures mixed in, permission slips, risk assessments, daily diary and copies of letters to mindees parents, contracts and all about me sheets, ofsted complaints poster dotted about in every location from my notice board to my policy portfolio :rolleyes: reg and first aid certs in frames on my wall unit...laminated posters on the available wall space in the hall....all my resources are in clear stackable boxes (they always have been anyway due to lack of room in our rabbit hutch ;) )

i know there is lots of things that i havent even thought of so please do say!

:thumbsup:

It sounds like you are well set up there!

The things that have been coming out of inspections recently are ... lack of signatures on things; lack of evidence of children's progression; lack of risk assessments for outings...

Good luck! :D

Good luck, tell us how you get on :thumbsup:

I don't have any issues either but I have a file for each;

My Complaints file has;

My complaints policy & procedure
A copy of the Ofsted Complaints Guidence & procedure
A copy of my procedure for alligations of abuse against a childminder
A few blank complaint forms
(you would also put any complaints against you and how you delt with them and the outcomes if you had any)

My Safeguarding file has:
A flow chart 'What to do if you are worried a child is being abused'
A copy of my Safeguarding policy & procedure
Blank body map sheets
Blank record of concen sheets
A copy of the 'What to do if you're worried a child is being abused' booklet.
(you would also put any concerns made by you and how you delt with them and the outcomes if you had any)

My Accident & Incident folder is the NCMA one, if you have not had to use it, still have it available for the inspector to see, so they know you have it if ever it was needed.

My inspector asked me to talk her through how I would record a complaint how I would deal with a safeguarding issue, so even if you don't have any, make sure you know the procedure. :thumbsup:
