I'm just wondering if any of you have had a similar situation.

I may be taking on a 2yr old and a 4.5 yr old for three days a week.
The 4.5 yr old is starting school in Sept so will soon be classed as a 5yr old. But until he starts school, there is just one day each week that my numbers will go over. It's one day for two months. Do you think Ofsted would OK me on that? Or is it not even worth asking? Such a shame to miss out on two children for three days when it's only one day that is a problem.

They tend to say no to new business but always worth asking you never know.

Can you take on one for fewer days and then apply for a variation to extend number of days needed, would then be classed as "continuity of care". :)
