Hi im just set up as a child minder and would possible like another child in a few years time (husband permitting!!) but i have been told i wont get maternity pay can anyone shed any light on this?

if you pay class 2 national insurance contributions at the qualifying period, you can get maternity allowance, which is the same amount (I think).

I got maternity allowance last time, hope that helps

you get statutory maternity allowance its about £120 a week
