Hi,
My under 5s places are full, i have 2 children of my own (1 and 2 years) i care for a 2 year old full time during the day and then a 1 year old for an hour each evening.
I have been approached by a family with 3 children, 9mths, 5 and 7 years. They needed care from 10-2 for baby alternate weeks, then 2-6 baby and school pick up of the older children.
I advised them i couldnt have the baby as thoses places were full.
They have come back to me asking me to have the older children and they will try to sort something else out for the baby.
This does still leave me with a total of only 5 children at any 1 time, so do you think if i took on the older children it may be possible to get a variation for the baby?

please give me info!!!! (the other reason i need to know is because its not a local school so it will make it difficult for me to fill my other after school place)

Start with the two older children and then apply for a variation for the baby.

The other prob is that they dont need the care untill sept, so its along time to wait to see if i can get a variation and they will have prob found somewhere else for the baby by then!!!

And i darnt bring up the topic of a retainer for the older ones untill then :(

oh well just one of those things i suppose!!:(
