Mine came in the long summer holidays.
Both my children were in bed! She asked to see the bedrooms and laughed as they peeked out from under the covers
Luckily she was a very laid back inspector :D

My one came in the summer holidays. Only had two children and thankfully, my two were at their dads as they would have been the ones to show me up.
Thankfully, I had olympic activities planned but being kids, soon changed their minds and wanted to do dress up. Whilst in the garden talking to Mrs O, one was dressed up as a policeman and put her in jail!! Way to go.

Yes, Ofsted like to come when you are busiest to see how you handle the 'tougher days'! To be honest, yes your house will look like a small bomb exploded but thats what they want to see you dealing with! Haha!
I may eat my words in half term now... but i find the days with more kids easier?! maybe because they play with and entertain each other??
Oh what have i just said...!!!!
PS I also dreamt the other night that Ofsted just rocked up on my doorstep without warning - i was covered in paint, one was eating it, another was ripping her paper and the other was screaming cuz she had climbed out of her chair whilst i answered the door?!!?! I woke up in a cold sweat haha 3 years in June since my last inspection

OMG!!
Isn't that a major invasion of their privacy?? My husband often sleeps at odd hours (shift worker) and no way would he let them in the bedroom
