Shes done it with patches, and has literally taped them to herself using plasters, they have just worked for her so well, she said once or twice shes thought to herself "oh its 10am, I'll go for a .....oh no I wont" it was more of a habit than a craving.......the turning point came when she had a chest infection that nearly sent her into hospital, shes only in her 50's yep she was young when she started smoking...naughty naughty! she was getting out of breathtoo easily etc, she's the type of person that when she wants something she goes for it 200%......I wish I was like that with my weight loss:blush:

Dont mean this to be scare tactics, Ive smoked I know its hard to quit
At the age of 42, my father in law had a severe heart attack, and was told that if he didnt stop smoking, well you can imagine! needless to say, he stopped there and then, he has gone on to have 2 further attacks but imagine if he'd not stopped!

That is so good! I wish i could give up easily. I have been trying to do it cold turkey but i find it so difficult, so it sounds as if the patches work really well.
Congratulations to your mum!:clapping:
