I've been registered since January, but only have had children for 3 weeks. I know I should be due an inspection within the first 6 months, but I only have school age children before and after school and during school hols. The youngest child I have is 5, and he is in full time education in Reception class.

i am registered on all of the registers but a CM friend of mine says I may not be graded as I don't have anyone in EYFS, is this the case????

Please help ladies xx

If the youngest child is 5 & in reception class, he is still in the EYFS so you could be inspected on the basis that you have him.

EYFS covers the child until the 31st August after their 5th birthday.

I've just had a chat with an OFSTED inspector, as I do not have any children who are not in full time education I can defer my inspection for 6 months, I think she was wanting me to come off the early years register but I don't want to as may decide to have little ones at a later date. She also told me there is no requirement to do observations (even tho my pre-reg inspector told me to do one a term?!?) So thats me off the hook for 6 months :) :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:
