Hello lovely people

I have had an enquiry for a 9 month old starting in sept - shift work so days not set. I won't have a vacancy until my dd starts full time school (as already mind 2 under 5's) which will be just before Oct 1/2 term. So, there will be a crossover of about 6/7 weeks before she comes out of my under 5 no's and the new child needing to start.

Do you think Ofsted would grant me a variation for these few weeks? I am meeting up with mum next week but don't want to go ahead with this meeting if it's unlikely I'd get a variation.

I realise you can only offer opinions and it's Ofsted that will give me the answer but no harm in asking for opinions.

Thanks!

no probably not i asked for 2weeks and was told as not siblings or continuity of care they wouldnt grant it.but its worth a go as each ofsted person is different and you have nothing to lose by asking so go for it i wish you lots of luck:)

If they wouldn't even grant you two weeks then there's not much hope for me! No harm in meeting the parent I suppose, you never know whats round the corner and one of my current mindees may leave in the meantime.

Thanks for your reply.
