Hi Kat,
Sorry to hear this has happened :(.
If I were you, I'd write down exactly what happened, as if its a report. So when you noticed the injury, what you did, what the child said at the time, parents reaction when you asked them about it etc.
I'm not sure what to advise about telling Ofsted. I once told them about a parent who had complained to me but the parent didn't ever complain to Ofsted and because I had told them of the situation I had to investigate it, write a report and keep it in a file which I must show parents if they ask, even though itdidn't lead to any actions and Ofsted concluded I was providing care which met all requirements.
Your situation does sound more serious than mine though.
Do you have a coordinator in your area who you could call for advice?

Also I think advice may vary depending on what actually happened: what the family situation is like for the child, are there any concerns you already have, the reason they may be lying about it etc..

Hope someone with good advice comes along soon to help you.

Very best wishes,
Wendy :)
