How long does it take roughly from sending your forms off to ofsted to them coming round, it's just our front garden is a complete mess has some bricks and things as we were going to do the drive but we've ran out of money with a wedding round the corner, if i send them off i cantr see them approving me with it like it is.
Also how do you go through the crb check?
i only had an ofsted reg form and the health checks in my icp course pack

They have to come & see you within 2 weeks.
If I remember rightly they send you the crb forms once they've received your application.
Good luck xx

I'd get a large piece of tarpaulin, stack them neatly somewhere and cover them up!
Good luck! :D

When Ofsted came to do my pre-reg inspection my back garden was a complete mess. I explained what I intended to do with it and that it would be done by the time I was registered and she put it down as an action to be completed before I minded children.
All I had to do when it was finished was write and tell them. Didn't have any problems. :D

I would imagine that if you can access your house safely Ofsted wouldn't have a problem with it, especially as it is ongoing work and not just random mess ;) I'm assuming if it's your front garden your minded children won't be playing there anyway?

To become registered I had to tear down a fence and the old shed - both of which were dangerous. (In the eyes of Ofsted, Im sure!!). (Although, as an aside, one of my minder friends has a fence that leads to TWO of her neighbours back gardens and she got a "good" grade on hr last inspection!!! ). Anyway - all the wood, inc. asbestos material was in my front garden, weaiting for the waste company to remove it. The Ofsted lady basically said to make sure it was gone before I set up and that was that!!
