One thing I did forget to mention in my other thread about our possitive experience with ofsted was that the inspectors actually said to us they think its a real shame when people have a bad experience with ofsted and that we should encourage more people to complain if they are not happy about anything. Like wise we have decided to phone ofsted and compliment these 2 inspectors as our experience was so enjoyable. It was pointed out that the managers don't see what is happening out in the field and rely on our feedback especially at the moment as the inspections are to be outsourced and role reviews are taking place.

Exactly, people forget to compliment sometimes and are quick to complain in many situations (rightly so tho, its important and complaining is necessary and the right thing to do when something is not right otherwise how can things be made better?). It takes 2 minutes to pick up the phone and just say ' I just wanted to say thank you'. It encourages people to continue on nicely if they are complimented!:clapping:

I agree, people are quick enough to complain :(

I had new carpet fitted recently and rang the shop to ask them to thank the fitters as they did a great job, were clean, tidy, efficient etc. When I spoke to the boss's wife (its a small family firm) she said it ws the first time anyone had rang to compliment them, but that people are quick enough to complain :(

I do try to compliment someone if I think they are doing a good job, mind you I'm not very good at complaining!!!!:D
