and I got Good with 3 areas of outstanding - overall grade Good!!
I'm really pleased with that - the inspection went really well and she was only here 1 hour 15 minutes. She thanked me for doing such a detailed SEF and said if I hadn't done that she would have been here for at least another 2 hours.
My tip for anyone who's due an inspection is to complete the SEF (and buy Sarah's e-book first as it will be much easier to do!)
I didn't get any actions, just one recommendation which was to build on my working with parents - mainly showing them my learning journeys and asking them to contribute to them as she said it was obvious I spend so much time and effort on the learning journeys that they should know about it!
Here comes my Oscar speech - a huge thank you to:
SARAH for the excellant Sef e-book - I really don't think I would have understood the Sef enough to complete it without referring to this. And also for answering my many questions regarding the EYFS!
ANGEL - for her help with my learning journey introduction over the last few days and the private messages of support, thanks for always being there to help.
Last but not least - EVERYONE on this forum you always give so much support and help, I don't think I'd even be a childminder now if it wasn't for you lot!
I'm so relieved it's over and am waiting for my Asda home delivery to arrive with the Galaxy chocolate in it, which I ordered for this evening (to either console myself or celebrate depending on the outcome!).
