Hi everyone
I was wondering if some of you could give me some advice on when I can expect the call for my first graded inspection? I want to make sure I'm ready well before then but it's stressful not even knowing how much time I still have...I'm already starting to feel a bit of panic when I think of it

I was registered mid Nov 09.
Also, do they usually let you know when they are coming?
(It's very clear I'm new to this isn't it...)

Hope someone can give some advice on this for me.
Thanks!!!

Hi

I was registered in Sept 09 I had a call in January to ask if I had any mindees. They then called back end of Feb and gave me two weeks noticed. This is not typical though they may call and give a few days notice.

I would expect to hear from them within 6 weeks of registration.

Ofsted contacted me abt my inspection when I had been registered about 5.5 months.

I think you should plan to get yourself ready for 4 months post registration and then just live each day as if they might arrive that day (in truth they usually call and you have a few days 'notice' though)

good luck

think they have to visit before 6 months unless u dont have mindees...

you could always ring them and ask saying u have not heard anything.

good luck..

I too got my call in the 5th month saying they would call in the next 'few' weeks. I told her the days I usually go out and as one of the weeks fell in half term she did say she would not call then. If you get chance to fill in your SEF (or even part of it) then it cuts down the length of the visit loads.
