thanks everyonethe dog issue was in my policy i stated children were not left unattended with dogs(i have 2)but on inspection morning I came home from school run with normal mindee,an emergency mindee I had for a week and my other mindee had turned up early with mum at door waiting with a bouquet of flowers and card for mothers day and mrs ofsted there.I got all flustered and we all entered the house together dogs were in front room and I didnt notice emergency child go in there unattended with mrs o while other children came and hung up their coats as normal ,when I went in she said he was unattended with dogs and was not happy:( ,but she said everything else was good ,but did warn me that some areas would be put down to satifactory and there could be a knock on effect of unsatisfactory because of the one unsatisfactory she had to give because of the incident, was gutted because it didnt reflect a normal day at all and if I hadnt had the emergency mindee (who doesn't speak English as first language to explain about procedure easily)it would'nt have happened :(
still it could've been worse:)

I'm glad you know now - it would be very harsh if they had given you an overall unsatisfactory. As everyone always says satisfactory means you are doing everything required.

You can relax now and feel confident that at your next inspection you will get at least a good - I'm sure the dog incident will stick in your mind and will not be repeated next time!

Well done you - enjoy your weekend.

Thanks everyone, yes it was a relief to not get unsatisfactory, but do I have to wait 3 years to be inspected again? as I was rather hoping they would re-inspect sooner so I could get the dog incident off my report ,as I cant see me getting any new parents with this one:panic:
