Depends on the inspector but usually 2 - 3 weeks. Keep checking on-line, mine was on the website before I got the paper copy.

How did you get on?

Thanks guys,
not really sure:panic: ,she said I was good in most areas, satisfactory in some ,but I have 2 dogs which are shut out in kitchen /diner when mindees come and children do have access to them but only when supervised by me.However mrs o was waiting for me when I came home from schoolrun with my usual mindee and one I had last week as emergency cover, other mindee and mum was also waiting at the door for me( early)with a lovely bunch of flowers and card for mothers day, which made me all emotional  ,so I opened the door dogs got all excited and it was a bit of a manic moment ,got the dogs to go in the front room ,my normal mindees came to dining room and hung up their coats and bags on their pegs as normal but new mindee went into the front room with dogs unsupervised with mrs o,so she was not happy(understandably),I apoligiseed and said it was not the norm for everyone to come in with me , but at the end she was on her phone for 20 mins discussing this issue with dogs (she was fighting my corner as she said I would have got a good if not for dogs).
She said the best i would get was satisfactory as the one unsatisfactory she had to give me over the dogs ,but was going back to the office as it was an unusual situation and that I might get an overall unsatisfactory as it might change other grades to unsatisfactory from the one :panic:
she did say she really didnt want this to happen as she said I was doing a really good job and was impressed with me ,so as you can imagine I am worried and want to know what the outcome is ,as if it is unsatisfactory I think I will give it all up:( I really dont want to as I love my mindees to bits and love my job.

Sorry to hear it went a bit pair shaped, keep your chin up, might not be as bad as you think.

Fingers crossed for you, as you said, she was fighting your corner and everything was great up to then. Maybe she just does not like dogs? My inspector was nervous of cats, lucky my cat did not decide to attack her feet :D
She gets a bit mad like that, I usually just chuck her back out again!

Don't panic, some of these inspectors can be human.

IF you do get an unsatisfactory don't give up on one little whoopsie. It will give you a chance to get re-inspected(I think) and prove that a normal day doesn't usually involve this.

Hopefully you'll get an action to say you need to manage the dogs at times when children may have unsupervised access.

Keep us posted and don't give up. Sending you a hug. X

I'm sorry to hear you had an awful time at the inspection - isn't that just s*ds law.

Can't give any advice as I'm waiting for my first inspection but hope that it gets sorted and you get the grade that you deserve. It seems harsh that one thing out of the ordinary happened and it could have such a profound effect on your grade.

Let us know the outcome and keep your chin up.

Wait until you know the outcome but for now focus on all the positive things she said.

Let us know what happens

sounds like she could see what a great minder you are and so im sure she will be fighting your corner. Your inspection report will mention the dogs , but will also focus on all the great things you do!
Try not to worry , and stay positive x

My friend got unsatisfactory because of her dog and she is going through a process with Ofsted at the moment to try and change her grade.

She is a great Childminder but Mrs O wasn't happy that the children weren't able to access the whole house!!!!

I hope your ok and I hope you get something sorted.
