Hi all.
right its coming up to my 3 years of childminding & I'm wobbling even though iv not had a phone call yet for my inspection.

when i first started out i admit i had little organised what with paper work & after she asked me questions i was all tongue tied.

Now i have policies for lots of different things, risk assessments, Observations, fire drills, smoke alarm checks, outings assessments, emergency back up childminder, folders with the print out works which iv done with the children (eg Diwali, Chinese new yr, mothers day, letter writing, pen pals) photo evidence, Photo mosaic of the children on walls, many more toys from when i first started.

Can anyone advise me on whats missing please as iv worked my socks off over the last couple of years & really want to get a GOOD as last time i had satisfactory.

Thanks in advance

The best thing I do is to work through recent Ofsted reports and read between the lines to see what they are looking for.

Biggies just now seem to be the SEF, showing evidence of progression, having an outside area that is as well resourced as inside... things like that.

I have just posted a thread about my inspection being due and just not feeling right about things.

Wishing you luck, just check that all is well with the contracts and permissions etc that you have signed by the parents, and that you are doing regular evacuation checks.

I would say do your SEF! It's coming up time and again on Ofsted reports.
