just had my mrs O call and she is coming monday or tuesday - which gives me almost a week to get everything sorted out.It will take me that long to sort the house and garden , never mind do my paperwork!! feel sick and have shed a few tears - which i know is a complete over-reaction. what will i be like by the weekend? Have got to do my sef , although she did say she was happy to just have handwritten notes. i feel like theres a mountain to climb to be ready - and i so want to do well - good would be good , 2 close friends are outstanding and dont want to feel too much like the 'poor one'. Im actually shaking writing this!!! blimey its only ofsted!!

Good luck for your inspection  I've got a bit of breathing space, Mrs O was supposed to come next Tuesday (9th March) but has been called into a Safeguarding meeting. She said "Sorry to put you out, I won't be able to come until the 16th"
I was quietly jumping for joy inside, at least I've got more time to sort the garden out as well, I've done part of my SEF (over 6,500 words) so that should be plenty  .
In a way I'm glad it has been moved back as I was sick all evening, then my youngest started in the middle of the night and then this morning mindee's mum said he has been sick everywhere! So not coming.
My eldest wanted to go to school today, but I feel too fragile to drive let alone walk (no-one else to ask) and my youngest is still ill :(
Duvet day today methinks!

hope youre feeling better. i feel slightly better now ive completed my sef , no idea how many words but 11 pages long and took 14 hours! made me laugh on the feedback once youve submitted it - how long did it take to complete / 1-2 2-3 3-4 or more than 4 hours. I cant believe anyone could do it that quickly unless they updating it. Well ive now got the weekend to update ljs , make my planning a bit more reader friendly , and sort the house. x

Hi there
If you have done your SEF then that will reduce the time they are with you. I dumped everything in my bedroom for the inspection, they don't need to go in there it's not registered. Go with the flow with the kids, I had all sorts planned but the kids thought different. I put my paperwork in piles , EYFS & learning journey/profiles, Risk assesment file, etc apparently I looked organised (and I am SO not.. yet).
And be confident, you know you are good at your job, they'll see that too.
The only thing I got pulled up on was not enough dates in my learning profiles (completely my own fault) but still got a good.
It is not nearly as bad as you expect, but still a huge relief when it's done.
Good luck, I'm sure you'll be brilliant,
H.x

I did this once (before Ofsted ) - everything piled on the bed, a right mess and she asked to go in  . At least she had a sense of humour and just laughed.
