Hi All
This is my 2nd inspection but the 1st one was 3 years ago so focused more on what i did with the children then my paperwork.
Ive been doing risk assessments but wanted to know if there was a set time for them to be done.
I do a daily one but how often are we suppose to complete a full risk assessment
Also what else will ofsted be looking for in my paperwork?
Any other info would be great

im fairly sure full ras need to be done at least annually , or when there is any material change.
youre lucky to get 2 weeks notice , so hope i do! although that will be more time for me to panic!!
have you got a dw who can come and check youve everything you need before ofsted come? Mine came out for me last week or the week before , and checked all my policys had the right wording , i had the most up to date safeguarding information etc. The only thing she picked me up on was as i dont take my files out with me i was not taking parent consent for seeking / administering medical treatment. i have emergency cards with me , but no parent signatures.
Have you done your sef? i started and abandoned mine the same day , now keep putting it off!!
Good luck x

Hi Kath
Anually is even better thought it was once a month lol. I had my CDO come and visit in november to go through everything with me so pretty much got most things covered.
Thanks for the tip about medical contacts and signitures when going out, i have phone number written down on paper in my bag but thats it.
Thanks for the info

no they didnt wendy. They said it wouldnt be next week becuase of half term but most likely the week after but they would phone either 2 days before coming or even the week before, but she did say she would definately phone to ensure im in and have children.
I think they phoned me to aks to see if i was still minding and what ages the children were, she also told me to let the parents know and get some feedback from them regarding my service but i have that already because i give out questionsaires every now and then and it just so happens ive only just done some.
