Hi Everyone just after some advice really, I am thinking of completeing the Level 3 in home based childcare. I am wanting to know if I complete this course can I become accredited and claim the the 3 year old funding?
Not really sure how it all works.
Would it be better to complete the CCLD?
Thanks

ifyou do the homebased one your cant take it eslewhere you cant apply for a job as a level 3. but if you do ccld 3 you can use it in other settings iyswim, but both count for accreditation

Both are level 3 courses and are valid for accreditation. The homebased childcare is purely to do with childminding whereas the CCLD covers children from birth to 15 in a variety of settings.
I have the old Cache level 3 Certificate in Childminding Practice and was able to use it to apply for & get a job in a family centre as a playworker when I moved - however they would have prefered the NVQ but they liked me :D . I am doing the CCLD now although I am back childminding as it covers more recent developments and if I change my mind it is more portable:) .
