Amongst the plethora of children I mind, I have 2 kids, 1 4 year old and 1 7 year old, I only have them for 2 hours a week (friday after school), do I need to do the learning journeys/obs on them?

no i would nt think so

you don't have to do learning jouneys for anyone. Some people choose to, personally, the very phrase "learning journey" makes me cringe.
As long as you know what the kids are doing, and what stage they are up to, that's fine.
