she said every thing was GOOD! :D

Mrs O was very nice and it wasn't as scary as I thought it would be. The best advice I can give is make sure you are up on EYFS, paperwork is updated and DO YOUR SEF as throughly as you can . . . it really does make all the difference and does reduce your inspection time (Mrs O was with me for 1 hr 45 mins).

BUT what I really wanted to say is that I really couldn't have done it without the support of everyone on the forum, the fabulous ideas and the motivation so THANK YOU!!!!

Congratulations and well done :clapping:

When you say make sure you're up on your EYFS what do you mean? Please don't say that I need to know it all off by heart 'cos that won't happen - my brain has difficulty retaining information so I tend to need to refer to a book :panic:

I'm due my first inspection anytime now and am panicking big time!!

Hi . . . just that you understand the principles, linking the areas of learning together . . . they dont want you to know everything by heart, just that you understand it, apply it and know where to get information.

I really thought I would be marked down on my planning as I only have a bi-monthly theme/planning and but I explained my reasoning i.e. that I plan around the children's interests, development and my observations so I dont do any long term planning (other than multicultural festivals, holidays and birthdays, etc.) as they all develop differently and understand some things quicker than others . . . Mrs O seemed pleased.

I also think it depends on the inspector, mine was very nice and really made me feel at ease.

Thanks everyone for your wishes.

I was pleased with the result as I love my job and put a lot of time and energy into it!

p.s. it also wasn't as scary as I thought!
