I know that you have to keep alcohol in high level cupboards when childminding, but how about the wine in your fridge? Mine is on the bottle bottle shelf - I know its probably a really silly question, but do I have to move it,otherwise it takes up valuable shelf space.
Thanks for advice.

You could get a fridge lock or move the wine to the top shelf. My kitchen has a gate across it so the children can't go in there.

It was my understanding that alcohol should be out of sight of the children. I don't let the kids i mind go in to the fridge so can't see how they would see it really. I think it is reasonable that you have it where it is.

Maybe you should get a fridge lock if you are putting achy in there.

Mine is never locked. I never keep anything dangerous in the fridge plus I think kids should learn not to touch. I have never had any probs with any of the kids going in my fridge and mine is an under the counter one.

I just had my inspection on Tuesday, had a half drunk bottle of wine in the fridge door and opened the door several times in view of the inspector and she never batted an eyelid

let's keep it real of course you can keep it in the fridge as long as you don't allow the children to open the fridge and play with the contents then it's fine.
my hubby bought a bottle of bacardi last week and it's sitting untouched on my dresser.

it's out of reach of the children and they have never commented on it, although one mum said yesterday that she wishes that she could have a drink of bacardi every now and then, but as neither of her two sleep and she has a useless hubby she darent' drink anything
