Hi all,

Just a quick question, after presenting a cheque to the bank how long does it take before you know it has been bounced?

ok after 3 working days you can draw on the cheque but it is 7 working days that a cheque can be reclamed "Bounce",, i alwaysd leave cheques for at least 7+ working days to be sure and never tell a parent a cheque has cleared untill end of 14 days to be sure

hope im right xxx

I'm not sure but if you think it might then I'd ring your bank to check

If you have an online account it often shows up the next day and not all banks allow you to draw on it after 3 days, check with yours. You should get a letter by the 3rd working day to say the cheque has bounced and will be represented.
Its so much easier online to check though.
