Hi, I had my pre-reg ages ago and one of the recommendations was to put a lock on all the doors upstairs. BUT this was only if I had children upstairs that were not in one room.
Well since I've started minding 5 months ago, I've found it easier to keep all childminding downstairs and the only mindee who goes upstairs is a baby and he is in a cot and I can put a stairgate against the door anyway.
Can Ofsted mark you down for not doing a recommendation?
I never got a list of them at the time either, all other recommendations were done.
I'm just trying to work out is a recommendation compulsory?
