I've decided to start doing news letters for parents so they know what we have been doing etc;

So far I have;

Hello and welcome...........
What have we been doing...........
Special days.............
What are we doing next..........

If you do a news letter is there anything else I could add?

You said you are mentioning what you are doing, what about a diary of dates for that month?

I also add a little box which lists birthdays for that month.

I have little reminders on mine like ...

*Invoice due on 1st of Month
*Please close and bolt the gate on way home.
*Wellies, scarf, hat and coat needed etc ...



.... Also I list resources I have brought for that month and add a picture of the children playing with them

I also say what new resources I have bought, and I have a Kids and Parents contributions bit. The schoolers love adding jokes, word searches etc, and its a good way of bulking out the newsletter if you dont have much news.

I also do a second page which details my upcoming themes and planning.

I also have a "dates for your diary" bit with holidays etc in it.
