Probably a very silly question.....buuuuuuuuuuuuuuut....does anyone do a learning journey for their OWN child(ren) in addition to the ones you are doing for your mindees? Like I said...probably a silly question!

Not usually no... and it's not a requirement.
My children have memory books from when they were 3 and 7 ... they love looking back at them :D

i dont do learning journeys but if they do any crafts or pictures they go on the wall the same as childminded childrens do.
However i do scarp books were i add a few bits every couple of months for them to enjoy when they are older.
I do a scrap book for my daughter so I can look back and remember what we did together.

I have a friend who minds, and she does one for her daughter.... I tend to do what the others have said, and keep a scrap book with pictures and photos etc in, little notes about what they liked to do etc, more presonal than a learnign journey for me!

i dont as such, iv kept the folder my childminder did for little boy before i started mindind 1.5 yr ago it had all his observations n photos and crafts in the i just add all his pictures and photos after they've come down off the wall i just dont do obs on him

yes I do!
I then use it to show Ofsted and prospective parents so I dont have to breach my confidentiality policy :)
