Just wondering how you book your holidays with parents:

do you book as and when you want them?

or

do you give at list at the beginning of the year?

or something different?

I take the same four weeks every year and confirm at beginning of the year.

I never usually know what holidays I am having due to hubby and his job so I let them know when I can but always give at least 2 months notice or more if I can

same as angel i try and take mine when hubby has his , we usually take in school hols out of of habit even though ours are grown up :rolleyes: give as much notice as i can and at least 4 weeks as per contract .

I usually take the time between xmas and New Year and two weeks bang in middle of summer hols. I confirm with parents either in September or Jan latest for summer.

normally i have 2 wks for xmas and 2 in the summer then work around parents the rest of the year

but this coming year i am having 3 wks at easter and s wk in the summer but not decided what wk yet

I book my main holidays a year in advance, to get the good deals on flights.

I give at least a few months if i am going to add the odd day onto a bank holiday weekend.:)

Off to Jersey for the weekend tomorrow after work, with BA so i should just be able to get home :)

On contracts I say 4 weeks notice of hols but usually I give 3 mths or more notice.

But at least if I need to I can give the 4 wks ;)
