Fix together (staple or tape, glue won't work) two different sized plates for head & body & glue on cotton wool balls, cut out shapes from black paper/card for hat, buttons, eyes & mouth & a carrot shape from orange paper/card for nose, sprinkle on silver glitter to stick to excess glue ta da snowman

I haven't no, made them at nursery last year & am not making them again till next week, they are so good for all ages as the older kids stick cotton balls all over but if the younger ones only manage a couple of cotton balls it still looks like a snowman because of the shape

some friend CM's a few years back said we should get together and write 101 things to make with a paper plate! we make reindeer and robin masks at christmas, they're so easy and kids have hours of fun playing with them afterwards. we had rudolph the green, blue and yellow nosed reindeer this week:laughing:  . reindeers are my favorite as they have the kids cut out handprints for antlers.

thanks for this. me and the girls did this this morning; we did alter it slightly but it's such a fantastic idea and when my boys come home after school I have no doubt they will want to do it as well!

We did this as our Christmas display. Painted black paper with glitter, added our snowmen and stars and painted the bottom with a flour/glue/glitter concoction. I really loved this display, as did parents!
