Because there is a post in the section called MEMBER COMPETITIONS saying NEW COMPETITION and then everyone replies saying wow thank you (to whoever did the competition) and then they enter.

Forgot to say..... it is probably the old problem of people only reading 'new posts' and not looking in each section.

I generally say wow thank you and then think ill enter later and never get round to doing it :(

Thanks everyone, I am thrilled, I NEVER win anything...... I have been really busy the last few days as our school has broken up. (private) so not been on here for a few days, what a lovely surprise that was when I came on. :) Off to have another look at their site now.
