Sorry if this sounds a bit thick but what does, 'beginning to use representation as a form of communication mean' ?
Thanks, HELEN10

I take it to mean using things to represent something they are not eg. using a brick to represent a car....maybe making brum brum noises, using a box to represent a house. In mark making it would be assigning meanings to their scribbles...'That's my mummy'.
I'm sure others will add more.

yes true like when little girls use a box as a till or a car as an iron.
my 2 yr old mindee uses just about anything as lipstick then it turns into nail varnish then a brush then she says im a pretty princeness now :D whats that mean

its usually sticks as swords and guns here! It could also be signs in little ones , an opening and closing fist meaning i want it for example.
