When my children were little my mum used to dress up one of my daughters Barbies with white crepe paper and tinsel to look like a fairy.
Now we have an Angel.......................so watch out !

Fairy - or is she an angel ?
She has a wand and has always been a fairy to me.
She is from 1950/60s. Identical to the one my mum has but revamped
Got 3 more to revamp too  Searched antique shops and ebay to get 2 for my kids special christmas decorations boxes. Then, when MIL passsed away, I got her decs and there was one in there, she knew I had been looking but never said a thing
Probably came from woolies or the co-op in those days but worth everything to me

We alternate! One year a star, the next the angel (in fact we have 2) My 3 take a year each to get to put the final touch to the tree and choose which it will be.
That reminds me, wish I could remember who's turn it is this year:blush:

We have an angel that my daughter made when she was two (with her childminder).
She hates it and gets really embarrased when people comment on it but it's a lovely memory to me.

We have a golden orb that is a representation of the Sun. As a Pagan family, we celebrate the rebirth of the Sun (Winter Solstice) in amidst all the Christmas festivities.
You guys got me dying to get the tree out TONIGHT!:clapping:

We have a star.
It means that my Dad is with us through Xmas. Since he died we told Hannah he was a star in the sky so mam bought us all new stars for our trees the xmas after he passed away.

We have a star which lights up and changes colour!! Just realised though the lead on it wasn't very long as I remember, and this year I have swapped our 5' artificial tree for a 7' one  can see an extension lead having to be secreted amongst the branches!!!
