If you and your mum have separate ofsted numbers but work together why not call ofsted and ask if you can be done together. It would mean both being done and observed just once instead of twice.

Yes we have requested this, and it was the case in our last inspection, but this time she has said we'll just wait and see, and if ive not been done by the time she comes she'll just do us both... Cant see why they cant just confirm it myself!

How odd! It makes sense to inspect you both at the same time..............oh, that will be why it's not happening then

I was given notice for my inspection, but it wasn't 24 hours. The inspector phoned me at 6pm on the Monday evening and arrived at 10am the following day, so I did have a little time to flap around panicking, but not much ;)

I got a call in January to see if I was still childminding. When I said yes she said she would come between now and end of March - this made me panic just as much as 24 hours because I was on the constant state of alert for 3 months and then she rang on 30th March to say it would be Monday Tuesday Wednesday of the following week.

You can never tell - just keep up to date with EYFS as this is what they really want to see evidence of alongside Safeguarding Children and Behaviour Policies

My Ofsted inspector gave me 8 days notice, she called to see if I was childminding and had a child in the EYFS, she said she could come out the following week either on the Tuesday or Wednesday. I said Tuesday, she came at 2pm and left at 4.15 pm. I only had children after school. :)
