just found out that we now need to apply for a variation from Ofsted to have rising fives! When will it ever end!!!!!!!!

No link im afraid, just got email from my childminding developement Officer.

All new certificates come with a line that says something like "if a child is in full time education (i.e. rising 5) then you can increase your numbers

They aren't being difficult it is because they are still under the Early Years Register.
