Are we able to put car tax through the accounts? or even a % of it? Just paid £215 for a year (Zafira) wouldn't have this car if i wasn't childminding - my husbands car tax cost a lot less!!!!! :(

If you are claiming the mileage then no.....think if you are doign it the other way I am not sure.

aly is right, if you claim 40p per mile this is for all car related expenses, tax, petrol, tyres, services etc - if you claim depreciation then you can claim the business % of these expenses, you can not change how you make your expenses until such time as you buy a new car, once started with one method you have to stick to it until car changes
