Yes they are poisonous my neighbour has one and I have to brush up the berries every day that fall into my garden.

But I have printed it off for my ds to take into school for his eco club

I have signed up for one but OH NO :panic: How bizare that the berries are poisenous ... will have to decline if it comes off. I was looking forward to a free tree. :mad:

I must say I find it an odd choice of tree to give away to child based settings.

Google rowan berries, they are not poisonous although you wouldn't want to eat them raw since have a very acidic/taste!!! I would imagine one taste and you wouldn't try again!!!

You can cook with then to make jams etc which takes away the bitter taste.

mine came today! Me and the LO's are going to have fun planting it today!

I just looked and the last date to apply was 9th Oct. never mind.

Mine came yesterday! DH planted it today to me. I hope it grows!:)

i had one arrive yesterday and another today
still have to plant them as its been pouring down for the last 2 days

Gutted that I've only just seen this and missed the deadline.
