Hi all, Do I need to do a full observation and next steps when the child meets one of the development goals. I have been highlighting the goal and dating when achieved then writing one line to evidence on back of the sheet.

Evidence is what is important and you can provide that in a number of ways...

A long observation;

A short observation;

A photo;

A copy of the child's mark making or drawing;

The child's individual planning sheet;

information from parents;

Details from the child's other setting...

Make sure you have a range of evidence and you won't go far wrong :D
