:clapping: I've been minding for nearly ten years and this is the first time I've had an 'official' pat on the back!

I was inspected last month. I got a good overall but got an oustanding for 'how well the children are helped to enjoy and achieve'.

A lady from Surestart rang today and I expected her to ask about the usual vacancy list. She actually rang to say well done on the oustanding aspect and chatted to me about how I achieved the grade.

I know it was only a simple gesture but it is so nice to be acknowledged for all the hard work you have done and not feel inadequate for the things not yet achieved.

I felt all warm and fuzzy when I put the phone down

My Early Years department frinally phoned me five months after gaining outstanding and didn't even know i had done it! They WERE just asking about vacancies and support groups. Glad your area works better than mine.
