Does anyone have any kind of sickness insurance?

Just saw an ad in 'Who Minds' for Nursery plan which does insurance for childminders/nursery workers,to cover sickness, accident etc.

Any one know anything about this company? Their website doesn't seem to have a phone number which makes me suspicious. Been thinking about some kind of insurance for a while. Got a few quotes but they are all ridiculously expensive.

Be grateful for any info/pointers. Thanks

I've just been checking this out.

It pays out after a month. So, if you're off sick for a month and a day or longer they will then backdate it and continue paying it for up to 2 years I think.

However, for odd sick days/weeks here and there it won't pay out.

For example, it would cost around £20/month to pay you £650/month (tax free) or £40/month to pay out £1,500/month (tax free).

So it's not cheap but better than no wages. Just wondering whether to do it or not myself.
