I've just taken the kids out blackberry picking and they've decided they need no adult help now we're home ( it was ok for me to help by getting scratched in the bramble bushes though  ) and they've hijacked my kitchen to make their own smoothies.
They've declared the playroom a cafe and the hatch between it and the kitchen is the serving hatch. The big ones are raiding the cupboards  while the little ones make signs for the cafe.
Its fab to watch and great to be able to put my feet up but boy am I dreading the mess. Just hope they remember to put the lid on the blender

Hmmn, have just heard an ' oh dear' come from the kitchen so poked my head around the door only to find much amusement and a purple floor as they'd knocked one over
They must have known I was up at 6.30 scrubbing the kitchen from top to bottom

We did blackberry picking yesterday - after spying a fabulous sumptuous berry heaven on our walk. Made the most amazing blackberry and apple crumble for pudding last night :)
I think its fab - hope you are taking lots of photographs! :)

I always get a bit sad when we start blackberry picking as autumn is approaching and it all seems to happen so quickly, then its conkers and the clocks change etc etc.

I've got about 10 jars of blackberry and apple jam in the fridge, had a crumble at the weekend, and the entire top drawer of the freezer is full of the ****** things! They are lovely though.
